About Us
Originally started in 1984 by John Mason, a long-term Javea resident, Autos Javea was taken over by Chris Jones when John took the well-deserved decision to retire in 2000.
The focus of the business remained "quality not quantity". With Kevin O'Dell joining in 2002 the opportunity to buy Cannon Rent-a-Car was taken, allowing the further development of the business and effectively doubling the size of the fleet. This has enabled us not only to upgrade our fleet of cars, but also continue to build on the "Personal Touch" that has characterised Autos Javea throughout its history. After 4 years, Chris decided to concentrate on new opportunities and Janine O'Dell joined in his place. We have also relocated the Javea office from the Pueblo down to a more visible location in the Port.

What's Included
- ALL TAXES AND BASIC DELIVERY CHARGES - Collection and drop off are possible at Alicante and Valencia airports and in Javea. A delivery to villa service is also available for a small extra charge. At Alicante airport we also offer a "Meet & Greet" service where our representative will meet you in the arrivals hall and escort you to your car. There he can help with the luggage and any questions as well as orienting you with the vehicle. With this option, payment can be taken at the airport. This service costs an additional 15 euros.
- NO QUIBBLE INSURANCE - full car and third party insurance cover included for up to 3 named drivers (aged 25 or over, 3 years experience). There is no excess or CDW to pay on the car.
- CHILD AND BOOSTER SEATS AND UNLIMITED MILEAGE in mainland Spain.
What's Not Included- FUEL IS NOT INCLUDED - all vehicles are delivered with a full tank which will be charged separately. Cars should be returned as empty as possible at the end of the hire. This keeps car returns quick and easy. By not having to get the car checked in, we are also able to keep costs and therefore prices lower, and at the same time avoid any disputes over the size of refunds.
- NEGLIGENCE - Autos Javea S.L. will not be held responsible for damage costs to the rental vehicle caused by the negligence of the hirer. These will be passed on to the hirer. Similarly driving under the influence of drink / drugs etc invalidates the insurance cover for the vehicle, the responsibility for which then passes on to the driver.
- DAMAGE TO WHEELS AND TYRES are the responsibility of the hirer.
- KEYS are both time consuming and costly to replace. If you lose or damage the key you will be asked to pay EUR 100 to obtain a replacement, in addition to any excessive transport costs incurred in providing you with the new key. Please take good care of the key!
- TRAFFIC FINES for speeding, illegal parking etc incurred during the rental are your responsibility. This includes parking fines incurred at the airport after drop off (e.g. for parking outside of a bay).
- PARKING CHARGES incurred where on return to the airport, the ticket or keys are either lost or not returned to the correct place (the van) will be passed on at the full daily rate.
- PERSONAL INSURANCE COVER - Personal injury and loss is the responsibility of the client
How to Book
Once you have decided on your requirements, send us an email at info@autosjavea.com detailing
- Pick up / Drop off dates and times, including full flight details if appropriate
- Car type required together with any other specific requirements and we will get back to you with a specific quote.
To confirm a booking, we will require
- To see for insurance purposes copies of the driving licences of all named drivers (either by post / in person / or fax to 0034 96 579 5581). With the "Meet & Greet" option, this can be done on arrival, but if we do have them in advance it will speed up the processing time.
- Address and contact number (perhaps a mobile) for both home and where you will be staying in Spain
- A holding credit card number and expiry date
Alternatively call us directly during normal office hours to book in person or discuss your requirements in more detail.
How to PayThere are 3 options to choose from:
- We can take payment on your credit card the day before you arrive and have the contract waiting in the car on arrival
- Come into the office in Javea to pay in person the next working day (the shop hours are 09.30 - 13.00, Monday to Saturday - see "Car Collection" for map)
- If you take the "Meet and Greet" option at Alicante, our representative can take payment - credit card or cash - in person at the airport
Collecting and Returning your Car
Alicante Airport
Collection Procedure - collect keys from the white van marked "NEW SYSTEM" found in area 4C of the main car park. (Area C is to the right of the 2 storey section of the car park, our van is between rows 4 and 5, along side the pedestrian crossing which runs through the centre of the section.)
Inside the vehicle you will find a car park ticket that needs to be paid for at the machines in area 2B (1 - 2 euros) before you can exit.

Return Procedure - place keys and car park ticket in envelope supplied and return keys to the New System van. Should this be unmanned, post the envelope through the letterbox in the back door. Please try to park in the vicinity of the New System van. We realise this can sometimes be difficult, in which case we would be grateful if you could note the car location on the envelope. Always park in a designated bay.
Valencia Airport
Collection Procedure - take free bus to car park P4 and collect keys from the beige caravan (with the red spot) parked in row 15 of the car park.
Inside the vehicle you will find a car park ticket that needs to be paid for at the machines at the front of the car park (1 - 2 euros) before you can exit.

Return Procedure - please return keys and car park to the van (row 15). Should this be unmanned there is a letterbox to post them through. Please try to park in the vicinity of the van. Javea
Collection procedure - come to the shop now located in the Port either in the morning during opening hours (Monday to Saturday 9.30 - 13.00), or at another time by arrangement. See map below.
Return Procedure - park in the area behind the shop and drop the keys into us (out of hours there is a post box located by the front door)
